"It Is Never Too Early To Build Healty Habits In Our Kids, And A Great Foundation For Athletic Success"

1/3 of kids in the United States are currently considered to be overweight, triple the number from just 25 years ago.
Participation in American youth sports is at an all-time high, yet record numbers are dropping out and turning away from a healthy, active lifestyle.
What is going on here?
The answer may lie in how sports and game-based activities are being promoted to this new generation. There is an incredible amount of pressure put on them at earlier and earlier ages. Although by nature they want to just make friends, run around and have a good time, often times they are put in very competitive and serious situations far before they are psychologically ready to handle it.
With this in mind, is it any real surprise that so many kids are turned off by this?
I beleive kids ages 7-10 do not EVER need to be put in win-now situations, they just need to be schooled in the value of giving your best at all times
This is primarily a time in their lives for basic skill development, teamwork, and a
heavy dose of the #1 key to long-term health and sports success...HAVING FUN!
If you believe these are the proper virtues of a quality youth training program, Power Source is the answer for you.
We offer 2 programs for age 7, 8, 9, and 10 year olds that you can find out more about through the links below:
- Our Athlete Springboard Program is targeted to future sports success. This is for kids who have a strong interest in playing sports and getting better at them.
- We also offer an Active Kids Fitness program, which is geared towards getting kids active and having fun, while having to work with others to overcome group challenges.
For all the questions about how to turn around the 'epidemic' of poor health in our young generation, I believe firmly that the answer is quite simple. Put them in situations where they can make friends while being active, teach them how to properly interact as part of a team, build up their self-confidence so they learn to believe in themselves, and then sit back and watch how quickly they begin to improve!
