Power Source Mission Statement

Our Mission

Power Source is fully committed to maximizing the athletic performance, self-confidence, self-esteem, and passion for healthy living in everyone who trains with us while providing encouragement and challenges that best fit the needs of each unique individual.

Our Values

  1. Train for safety and injury prevention first and foremost.
    This means that not everything will be about maximizing reps and weights. We stress technique, and drills that may do more to build up tendons and ligaments that they do to make you look good at the beach.

  2. Train the individual.
    No two athletes will be at the exact same point in their develoment, or have the exact same goals. We individualize as much of our training as we possibly can, to best serve each unique person.

  3. Give our athletes the absolute best programs for achieving great results.
    Power Source is constantly plugged in to the ever-changing world of sports performance, and continually seeks newer and better ways to build speed, strength, power, and athleticism.

  4. Prioritize the process of human development.
    Training rightly targets playing better and building your physical abilities, but at no time should it interfere with your natural growth as a human being. We want all our kids to learn to overcome challenges positively, build confidence in themselves, learn to work better within the goals of a team, and increasingly value their own self-worth.

  5. Offer a complete system that provides age-appropriate training at all stages of development.
    Patterned after the highly successful Eastern European model of developing young athletes, we emphasize age-appropriate training to maximize the life-long growth of each individual. An athlete who begins with us at a very young age will experience new challenges in our system each and every year of their career.

  6. Have fun!
    We strive to build life-long habits of eating right, staying active, and being healthy long past the days when sports end. The experiences we have with exercise at a young age can go a long way towards either embracing this lifestyle, or shying away from it down the road. Within the context of working hard and giving a great effort every day, we encourage our athletes to positively interact, compete, and have fun at every possible opportunity.

Our Vision

In 2010, Power Source will expand to a second location that will allow Central Mass. athletes the opportunity to train with us year-round. We will also expand our speed and strength development services to the thinking side of the game by offering cutting-edge sports axiology services.

Over the next five years, we will seek to open more full-time training centers in the region to improve our ability to help as many athletes as possible reach their performance goals.
